UW PROFESSOR TO SPEAK IN THERMOPOLIS

Sonya Meyer, family consumer textile expert with the University of Wyoming, will speak on "Quilting Traditions and Caring for Quilts" at Dancing Bear Folk Center, Friday, March 23, 1-3 pm.

Meyer was one of the first people to promote interest in quilt documentation in Wyoming. The informal talk will include opportunities for questions and answers.

The program is open to the public. A donation of $3 is requested, with funds to go toward the Heritage Kids' Camp in June. There is no charge for teachers, students or participants in the weekend quilt retreat.

Dancing Bear Folk Center is located in the Old West Wax Museum complex, 119 S. 6th, on Highway 20. The program is sponsored by Big Horn Basin Education Foundation.
